It’s been a while since I’ve posted a hair related blog, and now finally here is one! I recently received thse 18-inch clip in hair extensions from Hairtrade.com to review on my blog. However, with my 4C hair type, I had some trouble blending in the extensions of course so I decided to DIY with it and took out the clip-ins to make a weave (best decision anyway).
I have been rocking this hair for a couple of weeks now, to give you guys an in-depth review on how it performs. I personally think that is the amount of time needed to really know whether hair is worth getting.
Length: 18 inches // Shade: Dark brown // Hair type: Human hair
The hair I received was a lovely brunette shade. I’m usually a more quirky hair kind of girl, so I’ve never seen myself doing a brown colour but I actually like it. The link to this hair is here.
Shedding from hair is expected, but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw there was little to no shedding. The hair is very fine, and I’ve put it to the test. I’ve washed it, blow dried it and straightened and curled it and it’s still as good as it was when I first received it. What I do recommend though is getting two packets of hair to give it more volume (what I’m wearing is two packets).
As far as affordability goes, I feel like it’s so affordable for how good the quality of hair is. (£39.99)
As far as shine and sheen goes, the hair has maintained itself pretty well. However, after all the heat I applied to it, it got more dry which is understandable. What I do to fix this is I apply some hair shine oil.
