In this blog post, I’ll be talking about the Law of Attraction, and how something simple like having a positive attitude towards life, can improve everything. I had always been a Debbie downer. I don’t know why or where I got it from, but I never had an optimistic outlook on life. Whenever something bad would happen, or something did not go my way, I would instantly give up and just say ‘well then, it’s happened again, and I’m done trying. Whatever happens, happens.’
I never thought anything of it, I just assumed life treats you how it wants you to be treated and there’s nothing you can do about it. Until I found that having a positive outlook on everything can change your whole life tremendously.
What is the Law of Attraction?
To put it simply, the Law of Attraction is basically manifesting whatever you desire in your life to reality. (Click here for a more detailed article) Many people doubt the Law of Attraction and to be honest, when I was first introduced to it, I was like yeah, right. No way you can make things happen just by thinking about them.
But the Law of Attraction never fails to work, if you really sit down and think about it.
How does the Law of Attraction work?
People have different methods and ways to go about it, but personally, this method is the one that works for me. To put it simply, I do not speak to myself, or talk to others in a manner like I am hopeful that these things I desire will come to me one day. I say it like it’s about to happen, like it’s already running its course towards me.
For example, say you really want a job. Instead of saying ‘Ugh, I really hope I get a job’ or ‘Gosh, I hope they ring me for an interview.’, I would just say it like it’s about to happen. ‘I can’t wait to get my job!’ or ‘I’ll get a great job’.
Another Law of Attraction (LOA) method I use, is I like to write down my goals. And then I’ll sit around and think about it and visualize me having these things. Also, when I wake up every morning, the first thing I think about are my goals and how I can’t wait to achieve them.
Reading this you’re probably thinking, that seems like so much effort. It’s really not, because I thought the same thing too. It’s quite enjoyable to be so cheerful and optimistic about life. Obviously, these things don’t just come to you. You must work towards these things in order to achieve them. But what the LOA does, is the positivity and optimism now in you charges you up and makes you work more effectively towards that goal. The positive energy you put out there is what you get back ten times over. But it’s the same for negativity, if you are pessimistic and put negative energy out there, that’s what you will get back.

What did the Law of Attraction do for me?
I believe I started using the LOA nearing the end of summer. Things were looking bleak, as they would from time to time. I was so down about everything, and just accepted things for the way they were. I read this blog post about manifesting what you want in life, and I thought it sounds pretty cool to try out. Because I had no hope for anything, I decided not to live my life like that anymore.
I started working harder for what I wanted, because visualizing it made me more hungry for it. I had interviews upon interviews, and each one offered me a job. It was to the point where I had to choose where I wanted to work, and I never thought I’d ever even have a chance to be in that position. I scored well in my repeat exams, and I did what I wanted to do and decided to take the year out to work like I wished I could. Financially, things were looking up and they still are. I was so happy I even posted a blog about the importance of never giving up.
Putting that aside, I just became a happier person and the people I surrounded myself with noticed it too. I’m more cheerful and excited about the day has ahead for me. Sure some things have changed in my life, but that will get better over time.
What I’ve learnt these past few months is that life is what you make of it. Nobody else controls your life and where you’re going to be in the future, only yourself. And the only person that can pick you up when you’re down, is yourself.
This was such an interesting post! i have never heard the “law of attraction” until now and it seems very helpful, i am trying to love who i am more and be a positive person so i’m glad i came across this!

I love practicing the Law of Attraction! I also start my morning by visualizing my goals. I try to make it a habit to visualize at night too. Nice to know another blogger uses the LOA! 🙂
